What is Hemingway Editor?
Hemingway Editor is a web-based writing and editing tool from Boondoggle Studio. It analyzes text for readability and highlights sentences or language that may make a draft difficult to follow. Writers can paste existing text into the editor or switch to a distraction-reduced writing mode to create a new draft.
The standard editor uses color-coded feedback to identify complex sentences, adverbs, passive voice, weakening phrases, and words that have simpler alternatives. Hemingway Editor Plus adds AI-assisted corrections, grammar checks, style guidance, and tools for changing the tone or style of selected text.
