What is Klap?
Klap is a web-based AI video editor for repurposing long-form recordings as short vertical videos. Creators can upload a video file or provide a YouTube link, then have Klap identify useful moments and edit them into clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It is operated by ZIGG SAS and supports workflows for individual creators, professionals, and teams.
The platform handles clipping, vertical reframing, subtitles, customization, exporting, and social publishing. Users can review the generated videos, make final adjustments, and export them in high resolution. Klap also scores clips based on their potential performance and can suggest written captions for social posts.
Key Features
- AI clipping: Klap reviews long videos, identifies notable topics or segments, and converts them into multiple short clips.
- Automatic reframing: AI Reframe adjusts footage for vertical formats while keeping the main subject in view and supporting layouts such as split screens, screencasts, and gaming footage.
- Captions and post text: The editor generates styled subtitles for videos and recommends captions that can accompany social posts.
- Brand customization: Users can change fonts, colors, logos, and framing to match their visual identity.
- Publishing and scheduling: Finished clips can be shared or scheduled across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with support for unlimited social accounts on paid plans.
- Analytics and clip scoring: Klap provides analytics and evaluates the potential of generated clips to help users choose what to publish.
